Banks security

FAISALABAD: Police have asked heads of all banks in the district to integrate their security with Rescue 15, install surveillance cameras and prepare the register for non-account holders to ensure security for their customers.

Heads of Faisalabad banks and City Police Officer, Sohail Habib Tajik held a meeting in this regard on Friday and discussed in detail security measures for the people visiting banks daily.

Apprising the bankers, the CPO said the district police had prepared a plan titled “Safe City Project” under which security alarm, panic switch and hotline would be maintained that would help banks and other segments of the society to report any crime to different police officers and departments simultaneously.

He asked them to follow the Shops and Security Ordinance to improve security measures.

Sharing their views, the bankers said they were already following the government guidelines, however, the lacunas would be improved within a week.

They said efforts would be made that only account holders should be inside the bank and for this purpose a register would also be maintained to keep the record of the visitors.
