FAISALABAD: The Pakistan Medical Association has formed a six-member ethical committee to resolve any kind of issue of patients and doctors fraternity as well.
The members are: Prof Tufail Muhammad, Prof Naeem, Dr Sultan Abdullah, Dr Saulat Nawaz, Dr Mohammad Irfan and Dr Rai Arif.
The PMA Faisalabad secretary Dr Irfan said a umber of issues had been reported that patients had thrashed the doctors and also ransacked their clinics following treatment. He said during probe of such issues it was detected that both sides had developed grudges because of lack of communication.
He said now the PMA had decided to bridge the gap between doctors and the patients by addressing their issues. He said anyone either doctor or patient could file complain against each other over any issue. The PMA will sort out the issues and approach the concerned departments for action against the responsible people, he added.
He said the PMA would also look play its due role if any doctor had issue with his/her fellows.
