FAISALABAD: State minister for water and power, Abid Sher Ali has said
hurdles were creating to stop development and prosperity in the
country by staging sit-ins, however, the government would its efforts.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of first installation of the grid station at the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) on Monday, he said prime minister’s visit to China would bring industrial revolution in Pakistan.
He said efforts were being made to ensure twenty-four electricity
supply to the industry. Previous governments are responsible of the
current power crisis, however, government had been doing its utmost to
tackle the issue.
Addressing the gathering, chairman FIEDMC, Khawaja Asim Khursheed said
132-kva grid station would provide 4-megawatt electricity to the industry set up at the industrial estate. He said Rs 300 million had been spent on the gird station.
He said Punjab Power Development Company had initiated work on the
installation of coal-based 100-megawatt grid station at the industrial estate.
