FAISALABAD: Sunni Ittehad Council chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza has demanded revamping of the Islamic Ideology Council by including representation of all sects to bridle its utilization for political purposes.

He said central and Punjab governments were not serious for peace in Muharram owing to this people having links with terrorists and members of the banned outfits had been made members of the peace committees across the province. A number of persons have also been included in such committees who are allegedly involved in sectarianism, he alleged. A former law minister is playing an active role to make disputed people members of such committees.
