FAISALABAD: Sunni Ittehad Council chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza has demanded revamping of the Islamic Ideology Council by including representation of all sects to bridle its utilization for political purposes.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said currently the council had members who belonged to proscribed organizations and involved in objectionable activities.
He said central and Punjab governments were not serious for peace in Muharram owing to this people having links with terrorists and members of the banned outfits had been made members of the peace committees across the province. A number of persons have also been included in such committees who are allegedly involved in sectarianism, he alleged. A former law minister is playing an active role to make disputed people members of such committees.
Hamid Raza criticising the district government Faisalabad, said the administration failed to convene even a single meeting of the peace committee in one year. We are not aware that who is member of the peace and core committees in Faisalabad.
He said not a single real member of Ahle Sunnat and Shia community had been taken into confidence so far over Muharram related arrangements.
He announced that in given circumstances, all parties of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jammat and Shias would boycott the district government and would not take part in any meeting of peace committee.

Food adulteration
FAISALABAD: District administration has formed a Food Quality Control Board to ensure adulteration free food for masses.
The board has been constituted at a meeting chaired by the DCO Noorul
Ameen Mengal on Monday.
DCO will be the convener of the board and its members are MPA Haji Khalid Saeed, officers of the concerned departments and three representatives of civil society.
In meeting strategy has been evolved to launch operation against the mafia involved in adulteration of edibles. The DCO formed two raiding teams headed by Assistant Commissioner City and Sadar.
It was also decided that control rooms would also work at the offices of ACs to receive information and complaints against adulteration.

Domestic dispute
FAISALABAD: A woman gave toxic milk to her three children and also consumed it over a domestic dispute in Mohallah Latif Park, Samundri, on Sunday night.
The lady breathed her last at the DHQ Faisalabad and condition of all children is stable.
Khadim Hussain, a neighbourer, told reporters that Mehmood Ahmed, an
electrician, had thrashed his ten-year-old son Abdul Rehman over an issue that irked his wife Mussarat Bibi. The lady had exchanged words with Mehmood over thrashing Rehman.
The infuriated Mussarat Bibi mixed poisonous pills in the milk and gave it to Rehman and daughters Nigah and Minahal. She also consumed the same milk, he added.
He said children raised an alarm after consuming the milk and area people had taken all of them to the THQ hospital. He said the lady passed away at the DHQ Hospital.

marriage.
Police said Yaqoob had married Zahida Bibi about fifteen years ago and were issueless. Both often exchanged words over the issue of children.
Infuriated Yaqoob had strangulated Zahida to death.
